Safety Coordination

Thanks to years of experience in the safety field, EP&S’s professionals are able to ensure expert management of coordinationservices duringthe planning and execution phasesof the project. Every activity is carried out with great care, in compliance with existing regulations and project quality standards,with a view to protecting people’s health.

EP&S draws up the DVS, the risk assessment document introduced into Italian law by Legislative Decree no. 626/1994. This tool analyses and sets out the guidelines necessary to ensure prevention measures for workplace health and safety.The Group also draws up the DUVRI, a single interference risk assessment document indispensable for injury prevention at the execution stage.

The Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is responsible for drawing up the documents necessary for on-site risk prevention.

Chief activities:

  • Drawing up of the Safety and Coordination Plan (SCP)

Preparation of a file, adapted to the characteristics of the project containing information useful for worker risk prevention and protection

The on-site Certified Safety Coordinator is responsible for controlling safety at the execution stage and throughout the realisation of the project.

Chief activities:

  • Inspection and control of the application of provisions contained in the Safety and Coordination Plan (SCP)
  • Control of the fitness for purpose of the Operational Safety Plan (OSP), a plan complementary to the SCP
  • Adjustment of theSCPand project file according to progress made
  • Reporting of any failures to comply with theSCP
  • Suspension of activities in the event of imminent danger
